Message	My cable goes straight up to the detector. If he used a glove box outlet, the cable would stretch across and be in the way even more. not to mention the lid wouldn't close tight. Sounds like he needs to hardwire. I would but I use the detector in 3 different vehicles. It really doesn't bother me that much though.
